In 2025, Dagestan tourism sector achieved record-breaking results. Over the eleven months, the republic welcomed more than 1.9 million tourists, generating over RUB 20.5 billion in tourism services. This growth was driven by the active implementation of the national "Tourism and Hospitality" project, which facilitated private investments exceeding RUB 60.6 billion through 16 resident agreements.

Major development priorities included the enhancement of the Caspian coastline, with over RUB 110 million allocated for landscaping more than 16.6 hectares of beach areas in cities like Kaspiysk and Izberbash. Infrastructure also advanced for two Special Economic Zones in Derbent and the planned resort of "Kayakent" now integrated into federal programs.

Parallel efforts revitalized the republic's cultural heritage, highlighted by the full reopening of the historic Kubachi Artistic Production Combine and the successful "Keepers of Traditions" international festival. For 2026, the regional government has set the goal to further accelerate tourism infrastructure development and support folk art crafts across Dagestan.
