Dagestan Cardiology Center has reported the successful completion of a major cardiothoracic surgery on a 55-year-old female patient presenting with a two-year history of dyspnea. Preoperative diagnostics identified a large intracardiac myxoma accompanied by severe mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation.

During the high-risk procedure, surgeons performed a complete resection of the 10 - 12-centimeter tumor, conducted a mitral valve replacement with a mechanical prosthesis and executed a tricuspid valve annuloplasty. The operation proceeded without complications and the patient is currently in stable condition under postoperative observation, with discharge planning underway.

This case represents a significant achievement for the center, showcasing its capacity to perform technically demanding interventions for complex and critical cardiac pathologies.
