Akhmed Guseynov, a first-year student at the Faculty of Computer Science, Information Technology and Engineering at Dagestan State Technical University has won St. Petersburg Governor's Cup in robotics. This prestigious competition showcased the achievements of young talents in robotics, engineering and the development of future technologies.
Over 700 students from Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Dagestan, Leningrad region, Moscow, and the Republic of Belarus took part in the competition this year. They presented their developments in various areas of robotics, such as industrial, mobile, underwater, art, VR/AR and programming.
Akhmed Guseynov won in the "Mobile Robotics" category for his innovative design. His robot was equipped with an additional propeller motor, which gave it high mobility and allowed it to easily overcome obstacles. Ahmed also carefully calculated the clearance and center of gravity, making his robot more stable. These improvements made his design more maneuverable and functional than the others.
