The inaugural forum uniting legal experts and healthcare representatives in Dagestan has taken place in Makhachkala. With over 250 participants—including institutional lawyers and trade union chairs—the event aimed to identify practical solutions for improving the republican healthcare system.

Discussions revealed a critical issue: half of Dagestan's medical institutions lack in-house lawyers. Experts directly connected this legal vulnerability to high rates of professional and emotional burnout among medical staff. Key proposals included introducing systematic legal training for healthcare workers and adding a medical law course to university curricula.

Participants also explored labor rights protection mechanisms, such as using presidential grants and addressed practical concerns like workplace condition assessments and facility premises. The forum finished with an agreement to develop precise measures to strengthen legal support for the industry.
