Dagestan's automotive sector is experiencing consistent growth, with annual increases ranging from 3% to 5%, according to the latest update of the Republican Fuel and Energy Complex Development Programme.

Currently, there are approximately one million registered vehicles in Dagestan, a number that continues to rise.  Significantly, over a thousand electric cars are already used in the region. Dagestani government anticipates substantial growth in electric vehicle adoption, targeting a total of 22,000 eco-friendly vehicles by 2030.

The current consumption pattern for motor fuels in Dagestan is as follows: gasoline constitutes 35%, diesel fuel 32%, propane-butane 30% and methane 3%. The Fuel and Energy Complex Development Programme seeks to modify this structure by promoting environmentally friendly fuels, particularly through the increased utilization of electric vehicles.
