The youth sports and tourist trip dedicated to the ancient fortress wall "Dag-Bary" has been held on the territory of Derbent and Tabasaran municipal districts of the Republic of Dagestan. The event was organized with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Youth Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Dagestan and Autonomous Non-Government Organization 'Institute of Territorial Development "Caspium".

The walk brought together youth representatives from Derbent and Tabasaran districts, as well as students from republican universities. As part of the trek, the participants were trained in the basics of organizing sports and tourist treks, as well as historical and educational field expeditions.

“In the conditions of nature, away from the usual urban environment, the participants of such events learn to overcome difficulties and make decisions, which develops their personal qualities. By exploring historical sites and monuments, the young people learnt about the past and realized the importance of preserving the historical heritage of Homeland. In general, youth treks and expeditions contribute to strengthening patriotic feelings in the younger generation" - Aishat Abdulayeva, head of the Legends of Dag-Bara project says.
