A photo exhibition of the well-known film directors Rodion Ismailov and Shamil Akhmadullaev "Threads" will open April 26 in the exhibition hall of the museum "Dagestan Aul" in Makhachkala. The project "Threads" is implemented with support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The project aims to unite all people of different nationalities living in Russia. The strongest bond between them is the relationship with each other - the threads of friendship and common interests in culture, traditions and all aspects of life in the diverse country.

The project is based on the idea of two authors - Rodion Ismailov and Shamil Akhmadulaev - to tell through photography about Dagestan, its traditions and the beauty of its landscapes. The exhibition presents portraits of Dagestani people in national costumes.

It should be noted that the photo exhibition had been previously presented at Moscow House of Cinema. Visitors enjoyed the amazing portraits and learned about the people whose faces were captured in the photos. Each portrait carried the history, traditions, and spirit of the people, making viewers think about the diverse culture and heritage of this unique land, Dagestan.

The opening of the exhibition will be followed by a screening of the film "Planet Dagestan", which reveals new aspects and depths of this unique region, with its diverse peoples and ancient traditions preserved to present days.
