According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), Dagestan is one of the five most popular holiday destinations in May. The analysts say that approx. 75% of tourists choose trips within Russia for May holidays, while 25% prefer foreign destinations.

As to the Association officer, the top 5 most popular destinations for May holidays include Krasnodar Territory (Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Krasnaya Polyana), St. Petersburg, Mineralnye Vody, Kaliningrad Region and, of course, Dagestan. This is followed by Moscow and Moscow Region, Crimea, Kazan, Karelia and different river cruises.
