Makhachkala, June 10, 2019. The Boeing 737-800 wide-body aircraft landed at Makhachkala International Airport to take Russian tourists on board and then deliver them to the largest resort in Turkey. The airliner was solemnly greeted by the traditional "water arch". The first flight to Antalya from Makhachkala was performed with almost one hundred percent loading, the press service of the airlines company reports.
The start of cooperation with AZUR air Airlines, which will provide air traffic between Dagestan and Turkey has been announced in Makhachkala. According to Arsen Pirmagomedov, the Director General of Makhachkala Airport, two flights a week in this direction will be operated from Makhachkala Airport.
As to Pirmagomedov, the commissioning of a new international terminal will remove restrictions on the maintenance of international flights. This summer another new direction of air travel from Makhachkala to the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi will be launched.
