A local firm has been contracted to undertake the reconstruction of Chirkatinsky canning factory in Gumbetovsky municipal district. Having already invested in cutting-edge fruit processing technologies, the company anticipates resumption of production operations within this year.

The initial production capacity is estimated at approximately 500 tonnes of fruit per annum. The enterprise also plans to expand its activities to include the production of apple vinegar in the future. The restoration project is in line with an earlier instruction issued by Sergei Melikov, Head of the Dagestan Republic, to the People’s Assembly, calling for the revival of the canning industry in the region.
