Dagestan-based JSC "Concern KEMZ" has presented its own designed helicopter, the AP-55 model. Previously, it was reported that the company would organize the full assembly and production of all components for the rotorcraft except for the engine.

This helicopter is intended for use in civil aviation and can carry up to five passengers with a payload capacity of 600 kg. Its cruising speed is 240 kilometers per hour. The helicopter has received an airworthiness certificate.

As to Nizam Khalilov, the head of the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade, the specifications of the helicopter make it competitive with the international models and its production in Russia opens up export opportunities.
