Recall that the first five hectares of kiwifruit plants were planted two years ago. The following year, 2024, additional fifteen hectares were added to the orchard. Plans are underway to expand the orchard and to use locally sourced planting material. It is expected that by 2026 the yield of these fruits could reach 30-40 tons per hectare, making Dagestani orchard one of the largest in Russia. This project was implemented with the assistance of foreign experts who contributed their expertise in adapting the technology to the local conditions.
