The Key Point Group of Companies has officially commenced construction of a new commercial data center in Khasavyurtovski municipal district of Dagestan with a ceremonial laying of the foundation stone. The facility, slated to launch its first phase in Q4 2026, is a key part of the company's strategy to expand its regional data center network.
Positioned on a major fiber-optic artery, the data center is designed to host infrastructure for advanced digital services, government systems, and large-scale data storage. This strategic location will enhance regional bandwidth and establish the facility as a critical hub for data transit, serving both domestic Russian markets and enabling exports of IT services to the Caspian Basin countries.
The construction will proceed in two stages: Stage 1: An administrative building and a technological module with a capacity of 220 racks. Stage 2: An additional 220-rack module.
Upon completion, the data center will undergo the rigorous two-stage Uptime Institute Tier III certification for fault-tolerant infrastructure, a standard applied across Key Point's portfolio. The general contractor and designer is "Svobodnye Tekhnologii Inzhiniring," with telecommunications operator "Electrosvyaz" acting as a project partner.
The data center will cater to a diverse clientele, including telecom operators, IT firms, and institutions from the public, medical, educational, industrial, and financial sectors.
