The republican authorities implement an important project to design and build new sewage treatment plants for Makhachkala agglomeration, Idris Aliyev, Director General of the contracting company Mostootryad-99 JSC says.
The contract with the company Aliyev heads was signed in December last year and covers both design and construction activities.

According to Aliyev, the new treatment facilities will be located next to the existing ones, which will significantly increase production capacity and solve the problem of lack of capacity of the old treatment facilities, which can no longer cope with the increased load.

At the moment, the engineering studies have been completed and the development of technological solutions for the entire project is actively underway. The design is expected to be completed by May 2025, after which it will have to pass environmental expertise at Federal autonomous institution «Main Department of State Expertise» in Moscow.
