In 2024, Dagestan farmers reaped a remarkable harvest of grapes, amounting to an unprecedented 301.5 thousand tons of berries. This is the largest harvest of grapes in the region since the 1980s and represents a significant achievement for the local farmers.

According to the data for 2023, the region's gross grape production exceeded 282 thousand tons, marking a significant increase compared to previous years. This remarkable achievement can be attributed to the concerted efforts to expand the capacity for grape storage, with the commissioning of new facilities totaling 16.5 thousand tons. Additionally, 182 units of grape harvesting equipment were acquired.

The government of Dagestan is committed to further enhancing the storage capacity for fruits and vegetables, aiming to reach a total capacity of 55 thousand tons by 2025. Moreover, it is planned to establish agricultural education programs in all rural schools within the region, which currently number 1,209.
