In 2024, the region experienced a remarkable consumption of 9.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, while the existing power plants generated slightly more than 5 billion kilowatt-hours. This discrepancy results in a deficit of nearly double the energy capacity in the republic. However, the situation is expected to improve with the implementation of various investment projects focused on constructing new wind and solar power plants.
