Volume of online commerce almost doubles in Dagestan

In the first quarter of 2025, Dagestan experiences a remarkable increase of 74% in online sales compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the Association of Internet Commerce Companies (AICC) reports. This data highlights the substantial growth in online commerce during this timeframe.

Remarkably, the highest increase in sales was recorded in Chechnya, with a remarkable 162% growth, setting an absolute record for online sales in the region's history. Additionally, there were significant increases in online sales in Crimea, exceeding 90% and Ingushetia, with an increase of 79%.

Overall, in Russia, the value of online sales amounted to a staggering RUB 2.6 trillion in the first quarter of 2025, representing a 36% increase compared to the previous year. Out of this total, 97% of transactions were conducted through Russian online stores and marketplaces, further emphasizing the dominance of domestic e-commerce.

Moscow held the top position in terms of volume of online purchases, accounting for a remarkable 17.2% share of all online transactions.
