Dagestani team of chefs wins culinary competition in Istanbul

A team of chefs from Dagestan achieved remarkable success at the Gastro Flavour Street 2025 Championship, securing the Grand Prix as well as two gold, one silver and one bronze medals.

Organized under the patronage of TAPAKON and WICS, the championship hosted culinary experts from approximately twenty countries. Dagestani team, led by Kumsiyat Mirzaeva and representing the Republican Association of Cooks, presented innovative interpretations of traditional Dagestani cuisine. Their performance garnered them individual accolades in gold, silver, and bronze categories, culminating in a gold medal victory for the team competition.

The pinnacle of their achievement was the awarding of the Grand Prix Cup, recognizing their exceptional culinary skill. Kumsiyat Mirzaeva remarked on the profound honor of showcasing Dagestan's culinary heritage at such a prestigious international forum, noting the enthusiastic reception and positive reactions from experts.
