Schoolboy from Dagestan wins “Live classic-2019” competition

Moscow, May 4, 2019. Ramazan Bilalmagomedov, the 11th grade pupil of the Regional Multidisciplinary Lyceum Boarding School for Gifted Children has become a triumphant in the International Contest of Young Readers "Live Classics - 2019". On June 2, the super final of the competition was held on the Red Square in the capital of Russia. 11 participants took part in the event. Dagestani recited an excerpt from Erich Maria Remarque's Triumphal Arch.
The performance was monitored and evaluated by the jury commission, which included the well-known writers, masters of national cinema, cultural figures and artists, as well as the journalists.
According to results of the super final, 3 more participants were declared winners - the schoolchildren from Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Republics of Karelia and Komi. For the second year in a row the Republic of Dagestan is among the victors. It is worth recalling that last year the jury commission was conquered by the bright performance of Fatima Mikayilova, a graduate of secondary school from Buynaksk.
“Live classics” is the largest children's, literary project in Russia. Every year more than 2 million schoolchildren from Russia and abroad take part in the contest. The competition are held in 5 stages: district, school and regional tours, then the final at the international children's center "Artek" and, finally, the super final on the Red Square in the capital of Russia. This year more than 7 thousand schoolchildren took part in the competition. Last year there were a bit more than 5 thousand participants.
