The Republic of Dagestan is committed to a comprehensive program of initiatives designed to modernize its infrastructure, elevate the living standards of its population, provide crucial assistance to families and stimulate economic growth. The key priorities include expanding the road network, constructing new housing units and essential social amenities and capitalizing on the region's significant tourism potential.
Significant resources are allocated towards the enhancement and modernization of the region's road network. In the preceding year, comprehensive renovation projects were successfully completed on over 45 kilometers of roadways. This encompassed both major regional highways, totaling 33.4 kilometers and urban highways within the city of Makhachkala, spanning 11.8 kilometers. Looking ahead, the upcoming year will see ambitious plans to restore over 140 kilometers of road surfaces.
A key infrastructure initiative is the construction of a 21-kilometer bypass road around Khasavyurt on the R-217 "Kavkaz" highway. This four-lane roadway aims to substantially decrease travel time for through traffic, especially during congested periods when traversing just five kilometers within Khasavyurt can take up to ninety minutes. By redirecting traffic flow away from densely populated districts, the bypass will contribute to improved safety and environmental conditions in the area. The project encompasses the construction of three multi-level intersections, two bridges, five overpasses, and connecting ramps.
The execution of national initiatives is projected to elevate the standard of living in Dagestan, while simultaneously fostering novel avenues for economic advancement within the region. This progress is anticipated to position Dagestan as an attractive location for living, professional pursuits and recreational activities.
