Dagestan government has unveiled a new strategic plan to enhance its emergency medical services, with a particular focus on improving access for residents in remote and underserved regions. This comprehensive strategy, scheduled for implementation until 2030, will leverage civil aviation aircraft to provide timely operational support during emergencies.
This initiative aligns with the national project "Long and Active Life" which aims to elevate the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for all citizens. The regional Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov formally endorsed the strategy through a decree issued on August 15th.
As part of this plan, the regional Public Health Ministry has been tasked with establishing highway medical centers along major transportation routes to facilitate swift assistance for victims of road accidents. These centers will be operational around the clock to ensure continuous availability of emergency care. Additionally, the Ministry is instructed to restructure the reception departments of secondary-level hospitals to streamline patient intake and treatment procedures.
