Dagestan prime minister meets with his counterpart from Uzbekistan

The meeting between the Prime Minister of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov and his Uzbek counterpart Abdulla Aripov took place at the Government House in Tashkent. Both regions have longstanding partnerships with developed trade relations, which will be further strengthened. The main exports include glass, fish, fruit, confectionery and other goods.

The meeting participants considered issues related to cooperation in various fields, especially in the processing industry and agriculture. Uzbekistan expressed its interest in grape planting material, taking into account the development of tree nurseries in Dagestan. Cooperation in the textile industry was also suggested, taking into account the experience of Uzbekistan in this sphere. Both parties see good prospects for creation of a joint venture and expansion of economic cooperation.

The parties agreed to establish the Russian-Uzbek company ASADBEK GLASS FIBER LLC to produce textile glass fibers. The company will operate in Uzbekistan and will closely cooperate with Dagestani company "Caspian Glass Fiber Plant" LLC.

The joint venture plans to adapt an existing project for the production of 1.5-stage textile glass fibers to meet the requirements and standards of GOST in the Russian Federation. The main raw material, glass beads of ShSE-9 grade, will be provided to the joint venture by the Russian company LLC "Kaspiy Glass", a member of the "Kaspiy Composite" group, located in the village of Dagestanski Ogni in the Republic of Dagestan.
