Today, during a regular video conference with the chief editors of the republican media outlets, Arsen Yusupov, head of the Information and Press Agency of the Republic of Dagestan, provided an update on the activities of Dagestani delegation at the All-Russian Forum currently taking place in Sochi.

At the meeting, a thorough evaluation was performed on how the regional periodicals report on significant events that have taken place in the republic over the past weeks. Particular focus was given to the quick reaction of the media to major socio-political occurrences. The video conference attendees spoke about the importance of regular monitoring, analysis and response in the information domain, particularly regarding online citizen appeals and complaints.

After the dialogue, a new approach for improving the efficiency of this task was suggested. The director of the Agency had already highlighted the significance of this aspect earlier, pointing out the ineffectiveness of the local state-owned media.
