Tourists visiting Dagestan this year can anticipate a 10-11% rise in vacation expenses compared to previous years, Anna Bezrukova, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Folk Arts and Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan says.

This price escalation is primarily attributed to accommodations, with hotel and inn bookings experiencing a significant doubling over the past two years. The regional Ministry of Tourism justifies the increased costs by citing enhancements in service quality. However, despite the growth in hotel availability, a shortage of lodgings persists, particularly during peak season, leading to strained public utilities.

Noteworthy, even last year, a week-long beach holiday in Dagestan already surpassed the average cost for similar vacations across Russia. Nonetheless, demand for travel to the region remains robust, with numerous travel agencies reporting a surge in bookings to Dagestan throughout April.
