The Republic of Dagestan has become one of the most popular destinations for gastronomic tourism in Russia, according to data from accommodation booking services. Travelers are attracted to the region's authentic local cuisine, particularly the aromatic meat on coals and traditional Dagestani dishes, which are noted for their "authentic taste".

Dagestan was included in the list of sought-after food destinations alongside regions such as Krasnodar Krai (leading the ranking), Kaliningrad Region, Tatarstan, as well as Karelia and Adygea. According to a study by the service, the average cost of renting a home in Dagestan this summer makes RUB 4,890 per day, showing an increase of 13% compared to last year.
