The republic, like the other regions of Russia, is actively involved in voluntary initiatives to expand the donors’ pool. Among all Russian regions, Dagestan stands out as a leader in terms of bone marrow donation. In 2024, a remarkable milestone was achieved with the registration of 14,000 individuals from Dagestan in the Federal Registry of Bone Marrow Donors, and this number continues to grow annually.

The primary objective of the Blood Service in the republic, both in recent years and in the future, remains constant: to ensure the supply of high-quality and secure blood components to all medical facilities in the region. Additionally, it is crucial to promote blood donation and maintain an adequate supply of blood for emergency situations and unforeseen events. Each year, approximately 15,000 individuals in the republic voluntarily donated blood.
