Dagestan State Technical University has won the competitive selection and received a grant of RUB 100 million rubles for the development of an educational and production centre in the field of machine building under the Professionalism federal target project.
A total of 426 applications were received for the competition. Only 15, including the one from Dagestan, were supported.

The "Professionalism" project is aimed at the integration of educational institutions providing secondary vocational education and enterprises of the real sector economy. The creation of a cluster of secondary vocational education "Personnel for the Defense Industry Complex" on the basis of DSTU, which will include the largest enterprises of the defense industry and professional educational organizations of Dagestan, will allow the university to become a catalyst for this work.

The funds received will be used to

-    Improve the accessibility and quality of vocational education.
-    Introduction of practical and flexible training programs.
