Two universities located in the Northern Caucasus have achieved notable recognition, securing positions within the top 100 Russian universities for 2025 according to Forbes rankings.  

The Social and Pedagogical Institute from Dagestan was ranked 81st with a score of 21.77 points, while Stavropol State Medical University also earned a place on the prestigious list. Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University) claimed the top spot with an impressive score of 86 points.

This ranking methodology employed data collected through the Russian Ministry of Education and Science's monitoring of higher education institutions in 2024, complemented by insights derived from a survey conducted among prominent Russian employers.
