Students of Dagestan State Medical University have recently won the “Doing” section of the all-Russian student project “Your Move”. This event aligns with the goals of the national project “Science and Universities”.
It is worth noting that this is the first time two students from Dagestan win a federal student competition. This achievement highlights the high standard of education at the university and the active involvement of students in pressing issues of modern society. The winners of the competition received cash prizes of RUB 1 million.
One of the winners, Daniyal Shabanov, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Pediatrics, presented a study on the effects of electronic cigarettes. His research aims to analyze the statistics on nicotine use among young people and reduce smoking rates by promoting healthy lifestyles through educational initiatives.
Milana Gajimuradova, a second-year trainee in dermatovenerology, presented a project "DocOnline chatbot for remote consultations". The project entails the development of a chatbot designed for remote medical consultations, aimed at facilitating communication between medical professionals and patients residing in remote and mountainous regions of Dagestan.
This initiative is part of a broader national strategy under the "Science and Universities" nation-wide target program, which seeks to position Russia as a global leader in scientific and technological advancement.
