By the end of 2024, it is projected that the number of visitors to the Republic of Dagestan will exceed 1.8 million, marking a 5% growth compared to the corresponding period in 2023. This accomplishment is attributed to the concerted efforts of the national project titled "Tourism and Hospitality Industry."
This surge in tourist traffic not only stimulates investment activity in services and hospitality sector but also exerts a positive impact on agriculture, food production, handicrafts, trade and catering in the region.
Furthermore, Dagestan aspires to attract an additional 700,000 visitors by 2030 through the implementation of an extensive project aimed at the development of the Caspian Coastal Cluster. Initial stages of this initiative are anticipated to commence in 2025, leading to the creation of a scenic coastline measuring approximately 6.5 kilometers in length, complete with state-of-the-art hotels, parks and family-oriented entertainment options.
The national project "Tourism and Hospitality" is aimed at increasing the number of tourists visiting Russia up to 140 million by 2030. This initiative seeks to stimulate economic growth through the transformative impact of the tourism sector. The goal of the project is to create a hospitable, secure and engaging travel experience for visitors to Russia.
