Analysts of the FinExpertiza audit and consulting network have conducted a study on the spending habits of Russians on leisure activities. In the third quarter of 2024, there was a remarkable increase of 75.5% in the amount spent by Russians on hobbies, sports and cultural events, amounting to an average of RUB 8.4 thousand per family of three persons. This growth is the highest since before the pandemic in 2019, the experts say.

The analysis revealed that residents of Chukotka allocate almost RUB 30 thousand monthly for leisure activities, while those in Moscow spend approximately RUB 28 thousand on similar pursuits. On the other hand, the least spending on these activities was observed in regions such as Ingushetia, Chechnya and Dagestan, with an average expenditure of less than RUB 700 per month for a group of three individuals.
