Public garden dedicated to victims of terrorism opens in Dagestan

A memorial garden in honor of six students who lost their lives tragically in a terrorist attack in Makhachkala on September 4, 1998 has been solemnly unveiled in the village of Guni, Kazbekovsky district. The event was attended by Gadzhimurad Musayev, the head of the municipal administration, along with the representatives of the regional government, religious leaders, community organizations, educators and students.

In his speech, Musayev emphasized the importance of preserving memory of innocent victims and promoting unity against extremism. The top official noted that the public space serves as a testament to the fallen and reinforces people’s united stance against extremist ideologies.

With the support of Kazbekovsky district authorities, the new park will serve as a lasting memorial to those who lost their lives to terrorism, while also emphasizing the crucial role of community cooperation in combating extremist threats.
