Artur Beterbiev has confirmed his upcoming bout scheduled for November 22nd in Riyadh. While reports suggest American boxer Deon Nicholson as his opponent, the official announcement is pending.

This fight follows a dramatic series of events between Beterbiev and fellow Russian Dmitry Bivol. In October 2024, Beterbiev secured the undisputed light heavyweight championship title by defeating Bivol in Riyadh. However, Bivol reclaimed the title in February this year, also in Riyadh, through a majority decision victory.

Both camps expressed interest in a trilogy fight after their second encounter, though the date remains undetermined. Notably, Umar Kremlev, president of the International Boxing Association (IBA), advocated for the trilogy to take place in Russia. Beterbiev, expressing his frustration on social media, revealed that despite favorable conditions offered for the third fight in Russia, Bivol declined participation.  

Choosing not to prolong the wait any further, Beterbiev has declared his intention to proceed with his boxing career and will be fighting in Riyadh on November 22nd.
