Cherav Ashalaev won a gold medal at the international boxing tournament in Khujand (Tajikistan). The Dagestani boxer won the tournament in weight category up to 80 kg. He was also awarded a special prize for the "Best Knockout". Fellow Dagestani boxers Rasul Magomedov (63.5 kg) and Alikhan Yangizbayev (71 kg) achieved commendable results, winning silver and bronze medals respectively.
