Dzhambulat Bizhamov has won the gold medal at the World Boxing Championship, becoming Russia’s first-ever champion in this event. Competing in the 80 kg division in Dubai, the Dagestani delivered a commanding performance, winning all five of his matches.

On his path to the final, Bizhamov defeated opponents from Tonga, Kazakhstan, Kenya, and Spain. In the championship bout, he secured a decisive victory over Javokhir Ummataliev of Uzbekistan to claim the title.  This historic gold medal marks the pinnacle of Bizhamov’s career and establishes him as one of the world’s most promising talents in boxing.
