Two residents of Dagestan, Kalimulla Shakhmanaev and Muslim Muslimov, have been bestowed with the esteemed title of "Intercontinental Swimmer." This distinguished honor recognizes their successful completion of one of the world's most renowned swimming events: traversing the Bosphorus Strait.
This year's competition attracted over 2,500 participants who undertook a challenging 6.5-kilometer swim. While not all competitors reached the finish line, Shakhmanaev and Muslimov demonstrated exceptional skill and endurance, securing their place among the exclusive group of intercontinental swimmers.
