Grozny, August 29, 2014. Daghestan’s Makamagomed Hayrulaev and Ali Magomedov won the Open Amateur MMA Tournament commemorating former President of Chechnya Akhmad-Hajji Kadyrov taking place in the town of Shali 26-27 August, President of Daghestan Pankration Federation Imanali Hanipaev informed RIA "Dagestan".

About 50 athletes from North Caucasus Federal District regions came here to compete. Makamagomed Hayrulaev won the tournament by making a TKO on his opponent in the 67 kg weight. Ali Magomedov had to apply a submission hold to win in the 62 kg weight.

Other Daghestani Magomedgadji Rashidov (35 kg), Ramazan Djabrayilov (45 kg), and Shamil Sahidov (65 kg) unfortunately lost their fights.
