In a telegram, he lauded the athletes for their “strong will, skill, and outstanding preparation,” noting that these qualities enabled them to “fairly defeat worthy opponents and ascend to the top of the podium.”

Russia finished first in the overall team standings—a result driven significantly by athletes from Dagestan. Three fighters from the republic claimed individual world titles: Sharabutdin Ataev, Dzhambulat Bizhamov, and Muslim Gadzhimagomedov. Their achievements highlight Dagestan’s sustained excellence on the global boxing stage and reinforce the republic’s standing as a powerhouse in combat sports.
