The Chirkey Reservoir hosted the "Autumn Chirkey Cup" regatta, featuring sailors from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Dagestan. Competing in MH700 class yachts, which will remain in the republic for several months, the participants praised the reservoir's unique sailing conditions, including its distinctive inlets, islands and coves.

Organized by the "X-sailing" yacht club and the Y.A. Gvozdev Sailing Federation of the Republic of Dagestan, the event saw seven crews compete. A combined team from Dagestan Sailing Federation and coaches from the "Caspian" Sports School secured a respectable fourth-place finish.

Looking ahead, a series of MH700 class competitions is scheduled for March, which will include both the Russian Championship and the Students’ Sailing League.
