The junior team from Dagestan showcased remarkable performance at the Russian Weightlifting Championship held in Krasnodar Region. Dagestan athletes won an impressive collection of awards, including 8 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals.

This outstanding achievement allowed the team from Dagestan to secure the first place in the overall team classification, surpassing 39 other regions in the competition. Notably, the Dagestani weightlifters prevailed over the hosts of the event — the team from Krasnodar region as well as the athletes from St. Petersburg, who took the second and third places, respectively.

This successful performance highlights the high standard of excellence in weightlifting training in Dagestan and the exceptional talent of the young athletes.
