Zaur Uguyev, a renowned Dagestani freestyle wrestler, has now added the European title to his illustrious collection of Olympic and world championship medals.

His previous accomplishments in these prestigious competitions were limited to silver and bronze. However, at the Euro 2025 tournament, he emerged victorious, defeating Arsen Arutyunyan from Armenia in the final, who had been the reigning European champion for the past three years.

With a lead of 3–0, Uguyev conceded his opponent a point, but ultimately, the Dagestani emerged victorious in the bout.
