According to the website of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers, Dagestan is recognized as a leader in this category. Since 2022, more than 40 such tourist attractions have been discovered in the republic. Novosibirsk, Sakhalin, and Chelyabinsk regions also lead the list of regions with the highest number of identified attractions. As part of the "Land for Tourism" project, Rosreestr (Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography) has identified a total of 669 land plots and territories. These areas have great potential for development as tourist destinations.
