MAKHACHKALA, August 26 – RIA Dagestan. Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Dagestan Abdula Yusupov has held a working meeting with representatives of the Turkish medical equipment company QAMARA to discuss localizing the production of rigid medical endoscopes in the region.
The investor is considering Dagestan as a site for high-tech manufacturing. There are currently no medical optics production facilities in the republic and the project would establish the first center of expertise for high-tech medical products in the North Caucasian Federal District.
"For us, this means import substitution, new technologies and jobs. We are ready to provide the investor with comprehensive support and facilitate the project at all stages" Yusupov said.
QAMARA is a Turkish manufacturer of medical equipment. The proposed localization is aimed at producing rigid endoscopes, which are in high demand across various fields of medicine.
