MAKHACHKALA, June 3 – RIA Dagestan. Wholesale trade turnover in Dagestan totaled RUB 53.8 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 24.4% in comparable prices compared to the same period a year earlier. Paid services rendered to the population through all distribution channels also grew, increasing by 2.2% in comparable prices to RUB 56.6 billion rubles.
The first-quarter results, according to Nizam Khalilov, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of Dagestan, demonstrate stable expansion in the regional trade and retail service industries. The wholesale turnover growth of over 24% signals strong regional business activity, an increase in commodity traffic and the solidifying foothold of local companies, the official says. Khalilov added that the republic's consumer market displayed confident growth and sustained volume increases.
