Dagestan intends to launch high-speed trains in assistance with Russian Railways

This has been announced by the Head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov. According to the region governor, such a need is caused by the growth of tourist flow in the region. In particular, the parties are considering the possibility of launching high-speed electric trains between Makhachkala and Derbent, the reconstruction of train stations and platforms at locations popular with tourists. The parties also considered the issue of reconstruction of railway stations in Makhachkala and Derbent, the railway platforms where tourists arrive, including in the coastal zone and the northern part of the region - the city of Kizlyar.
