MAKHACHKALA, February 26 – RIA "Dagestan". According to a review by the Association for the Development of Renewable Energy (ADRE), the Republic of Dagestan ranked first among Russian regions in the number of commissioned renewable energy facilities in 2025. The republic was the only region to put two new facilities into operation during the year: Derbent Solar Power Plant and Novolakskaya Wind Power Plant, both launched in the fourth quarter.
Nationally, 677.58 megawatts of renewable energy capacity were commissioned in 2025, marking a significant increase compared to 445.4 megawatts in 2024. Other facilities commissioned across Russia during the reporting period included Severskaya Solar Power Plant in Krasnodar Krai, Kurchaloy Solar Power Plant in Chechnya, Grazhdanskaya Wind Power Plant in Samara Oblast and Novoalekseevskaya Wind Power Plant in Volgograd Oblast.
