MAKHACHKALA, July 10 – RIA "Dagestan". With a harvest of 13.5 thousand tons in 2025, Dagestan has become the nation’s second-biggest sweet cherry producer, trailing only Stavropol Krai’s 25.5 thousand tons. The Center for Industry Expertise of the Russian Agricultural Bank also listed Krasnodar Krai, Kabardino-Balkaria and Rostov Region among the top five, with each collecting around 3 thousand tons. Experts anticipate continued growth this season, forecasting a national yield exceeding 60 thousand tons—approximately 10% higher than last year’s figures.
