A new peak of electricity consumption has been recorded in the energy system of the Republic of Dagestan on August 5th, 2025. The indicator reached 1,369 megawatts, which is 95 megawatts more than the previous record. This information was released by the "System Operator of the Unified Energy System". Additionally, on the same day, new summer peaks in power consumption were also recorded in four other regional energy systems in the southern region. According to the system operator, the main factors contributing to this increase are hot weather conditions and, consequently, increased network load.
