MAKHACHKALA, September 3 – RIA "Dagestan". Preparations for the winter sowing campaign are underway in Dagestan, with more than 33,000 hectares of land already prepared out of a planned 93,000 hectares for the 2027 harvest.
First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Sharip Sharipov took part in a federal videoconference on sowing winter crops and providing farmers with fuel and spare parts. The meeting also addressed soil preparation, seed fund formation and readiness for autumn field work.
The largest sowing areas are planned in Khasavyurtovsky (19,500 hectares), Karabudakhkentsky (over 10,000 hectares), Nogaysky (9,600 hectares) and Kizlyarsky District (7,500 hectares).
The regional ministry has formed forecast indicators for the campaign and is monitoring preparations in coordination with municipal authorities.
