MAKHACHKALA, August 18 – RIA Dagestan. In 2025, enterprises operating in Dagestan allocated RUB 111.4 million in capital investments to environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources. This represents a 5.2-fold increase compared to 2024, equivalent to an additional RUB 90.4 million over the previous year's total of RUB 21 million.
Despite this substantial relative growth, Dagestan ranked eighth lowest among all Russian regions in terms of environmental investment in 2025. The data were released by the analytical department of the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza.
For comparative context, the highest corporate capital expenditure on environmental initiatives was recorded in Krasnoyarsk Krai (RUB 44.7 billion), while the lowest was observed in Kostroma Oblast (RUB 7.6 million).
Across the Russian Federation, enterprises invested a cumulative total of RUB 408.9 billion in environmental projects in 2025, marking an 8.9% year-on-year increase of RUB 33.6 billion— the highest figure ever recorded.
